Social Justice

The Social Justice group has been working for several years.  The aim of the group is to assist people who are working to make life more equitable for those who need support in many different areas of life.  As well, we work to directly advocate for those who are in need.

As a result, we meet annually with our local Federal member to ensure that our voice is heard for the homeless and domestic violence issues are dealt with so that those who are suffering are not forgotten. We also approach the local Wodonga City Council to seek support for projects to enhance the lives of those in need in the local community.  Visiting speakers are also invited to inform us on a variety of issues.

We also keep good contact with the Uniting Church’s Justice and International Cluster.  This awareness allows us to give support and helps us understand the needs of the world at large.

You are welcome to join our group.
