St Stephens IT

The St Stephens IT area covers the operation of the various audio and visual aspects of the church’s activities. This includes the regular church services each Sunday, as well as the other services and activities conducted within the building.

The team consists of volunteers from within the church congregation. For normal Sunday services, members are rostered on a rotating basis, generally two people per service – one looking after the visual side of things projected onto the two large screens within the main worship space, the other looking after the recording and live-streaming of the church services.

The large screens in the main worship area gives the minister the ability to tailor the service in different ways, to utilise PowerPoint and other software, and include things like video clips and other visual aspects in the service. We can also ‘Zoom’ connect with others during the service.

The introduction of live-streaming of services allows those who can’t physically attend a service to watch it at home, either live or at a later time. People who have moved away from the area can remain connected with St Stephens and the local community in this way, and others who might never have attended St Stephens can view our services and get an idea of who we are and what we do.
