Thursday's Zoom Bible Discussion 'THE Story IN the Bible' - 7.30pm to approx 9pm

When COVID lockdowns began we wondered how to support people's connection with encountering God and God's Story of Grace and Renewal as shared in our Bible. So we invited people to Zoom into "THE Story IN the Bible", which was intended to overview the whole Bible through small group Online discussion between participants in their own homes, rather than as a lecture-style presentation. We started in May 2020 and completed our journey through the Old Testament in June 2023. We are now working our way through the New Testament, using pre-prepared Discussion Questions related to the themes of the passage being considered. In addition, we help keep our passages in context through sharing the visual summaries of Biblical Books from "The Bible Project", and focusing themes through sharing one or two video songs that are relevant to each session's themes. Wednesday morning Discussion Group  in the fellowship room from 9.30am to 11.30am

What is on your Agenda every Wednesday morning?

Would you be interested in meeting with a group of St Stephen's participants who meet over coffee to share their joys and challenges arising from their life journeys and faith experiences of the previous weeks, to offer mutual support, friendship, prayers, laughter, encouragement and opportunities for healing?   Recently we started reading the New Testament Book of James, [believed to be written by the brother of Jesus] and have been fascinated to discover and explore the wide range of issues he was struggling with in his community and church that are still highly relevant in our society today.

Accompanying a wide range of challenging topics, Books within the Bible and Biblical Characters that are discussed, we listen to, or sing a huge range of related new songs often sourced on-line.

Through sharing friendship we aim to support each other as we face times of challenging growth and change, interspersed with some serendipitous surprises.

New participants would be warmly welcomed. So if this sort of fellowship group sounds of interest to you, come along and share.
